7 Years Ago today…..

Mike and Ruth were in Japan. They had an opportunity to visit a pressing factory through a contact of Mike’s. Japan has always had an excellent reputation for the quality of its pressings.ake it stand out

We visited the ToyoKasei record pressing plant, located Kanagawa prefecture near Tokyo. The picture above shows -on left, Takashi Yamamoto, editor in chief of the magazine Jazz Perspective, published by Disk Union. The other is Mr Hanawa who has produced lots of vinyl at the plant for many years.

ToyoKasei at that time was the only remaining vinyl pressing plant in Asia
